Fagan Park is a beautiful park that suits all ages, great for family picnics or a bbq, with lovely well maintained gardens. You could walk for miles and enjoy the fresh clean air, it has a nice children's play area next to the coffee shop.
Wild Pear is a quaint little place for a weekend breakfast. Set adjacent to a small nursery lined by terracotta and stone pots and things along the front, the sign marking Wild Pear Cafe is easy to miss as one drives along Old Northern road; perhaps reflecting the unassuming atmosphere reflected inside. The ambience is homely and it is a lovely place for a chit chat and a nice meal. Be sure to make a booking as it can be quite full at times.
